We believe that the thoughts, intentions and expectations of a camera operator (i.e. photographer) have an influence on the picture taken with the Oldfield Filter. According to the Heisenberg Effect the act of observation changes the behaviour of the observed. This is a very basic statement which experience can easily confirm. Whilst this theory evolved out of research into quantum physics, it appears to hold true also in everyday life.
When you consider normal photography without a filter, the photographer has an intention to compose a picture of a certain type or quality. The camera position, lighting, exposure setting, focus, the law of thirds etc.... are taken into account so as to allow the desired picture to be formed.
With the Oldfield Filter however, the type and quality of the picture has a broader spectrum, so producing images and effects otherwise invisible to normal exposures.
The inventor Harry Oldfield says the filter “..... splits light into different frequency components which are seen in multiple colours. This set-up, in experienced and sensitive hands, can yield extraordinary images showing energy field effects and orbs, as well as other anomalous presences otherwise invisible to the naked eye .....”
Harry has coined the phrase ‘spiritual photonic interference’ and uses the filter to investigate such phenomena.
We have had the privilege to receive tuition from Harry in the use and interpretation of anomalous images and through our own specific experiments and researches can show you the techniques. These are done in small group workshops and can include visits to interesting places.
But even without training, anyone is able to experiment and take extraordinary images with the right frame of mind.
